End of School Year
The district will be updating the school calendar to show the last day of school as May 12 and May 6-12 will be designated as Remote Learning Planning Days. As a result, the last batch of school work for both WGS and WHS will have a due date of 5/5, which will be the last day of school for students who have completed work to earn a grade of "pass." If your child is having trouble completing assignments, please contact the school and we will make arrangements.
Parents of WGS students who have personal belongings to be picked up can pick up those items during lunch pick up on Monday. The last day for lunch service will be May 11, but the lunches will still cover the entire week.
We are still working on contingency plans for WHS and WGS graduation ceremonies and we will release information when a plan has been decided.
Additionally, the IHSA announced the cancellation of the 2020 spring sports tournaments yesterday. They did leave open the possibility of allowing the spring teams to compete in some way if social distancing guidelines are lifted in the near future.
